The inaugural 2026 Caboolture Mazda Beef Grand Prix brought together exhibitors and cattle from across Australia for a competition designed to reward excellence both on the hoof and on the hook.

Across the StockLive Led Steer & Heifer Championship and Catagra Group Carcase Championship, exhibits were assessed across the full spectrum of beef production, combining performance on the hoof with commercial carcase performance and eating quality.

With the incredible support of our sponsors, the inaugural Grand Prix delivered a prize pool valued at more than $150,000, making it the richest led steer and heifer competition in Australian history.

The prize pool included a brand new Mazda BT-50 sponsored by Caboolture Mazda, a BoviScan Curve Ultrasound Unit by ReproScan sponsored by Catagra Group, a cattle yards package sponsored by Super Steel Rural, two Honda Ag bikes sponsored by Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplants, more than $45,000 in cash prizes, trophy buckles and an extensive range of additional prizes and incentives.

The inaugural Grand Prix culminated with our Presentation Evening in Toowoomba on 3 October 2026, where the Catagra Group Carcase Championship and overall Grand Prix awards were presented.
